When Sergio Ramos left Paris Saint-Germain last fall, there was interest from Saudi Arabia as well as MLS in the USA, but it was instead a return to his childhood club Sevilla.
However, there may be a move to Saudi Arabia this summer instead. Mundo Deportivo now state that several Saudi clubs are interested in Ramos, who turns 38 at the end of March.
Al-Ittihad is said to be the club showing the greatest interest in the Spanish centre-back. There is already Karim Benzema, an old teammate of Ramos from his time at Real Madrid.
Ramos' contract with Sevilla expires this summer and he could be forced to take a pay cut if he wants to stay, according to Mundo Deportivo. This is because Sevilla look set to miss European games next season.
