Young midfielder Kobbie Mainoo has been one of the few bright spots at Manchester United this season and has been one of the team's best players. The 18-year-old has shown impressive maturity in his game and has been rewarded with a debut in the England A national team.
Now comes information from international media that another big club, Real Madrid, has Mainoo on their radar. The English Daily Express, which refers to the Spanish Don Diario, states that “Los Blancos” are looking for younger replacements for veterans Toni Kroos and Luka Modric, who are both out of contract.
Real Madrid president Florentino Perez is said to be “very interested” in the possibility of signing Mainoo, but it will take a lot for United to sell one of their most promising players. Mainoo has a contract with United until June 2027.
